2017 Singles Championships Recap

The 2017 MA Squash Singles Championships came to a close with Finals Night on Thursday, April 13 at Harvard’s Murr Center. Twenty-seven finals were contested with spectacular competition, enthusiastic attendance northwards of 200, and free refreshments courtesy of MA Squash.

The 2.5 final included two first-time entrants, including the tournament’s youngest player  (11 years old). The 70+ draw saw the highest game score of the evening (20 points). The elite draws, open 6.0 and women’s 4.5+, included premier talent and competition. And Syed Jafry pulled off an impressive trifecta by winning the finals of the 50+, 45+, and 40+ draws, all in one evening.

All finalists and champions will receive trophies at the MA Squash Annual Meeting on Monday, May 15 at the University Club.
