US-SQUASH-20131

As part of a revamped officiating program, US Squash will be hosting clinics in clubs across the country.

US Squash believes increased knowledge of the rules and sportsmanship will provide an even more enjoyable and fulfilling experience on court for all members. Clinics will begin in our area next month and become an ongoing US Squash offering.

Each clinic will feature three 1-hour individual sessions: a clinic for players under-15 (targeted to start at 5pm), an under-19 clinic (6pm) and an adult clinic (7pm). Specific timing will be confirmed with each clinic.

Sessions will focus on match management and rules education, and feature interactive content and instruction by local professionals or US Squash staff members.

All junior players wanting to compete in the 2014 U.S. Junior Championships (Closed), the U.S. Junior Silver Championships and the U.S. Junior Bronze Championships will be required to pass their age-appropriate Club Level Referee exam, as well as attend a live officiating clinic. As of October 31st 2014, all players must have completed the appropriate online exam and attended a Club Clinic in order to remain in the junior rankings in that division.

Clinics are available to all current US Squash members and have limited availability, so register now!  We hope you will be able to attend.

As more clinics are added in our area, the US Squash website and MA Squash emails will be updated with the details. (There is a signup box on the main page of the Mass Squash website to sign up for MA Squash emails.)

The following clinics are currently scheduled in our area:

Cross Courts Squash and Fitness Center – December 12, 2013

University Club of Boston – January 14, 2014
