The 2013-14 hardball doubles league season concluded its 3rd successful year two weeks ago. The Marblehead Y won its 3rd championship with the new and improved format that included a women’s division for the first time this year. LVO/Marblehead won with a record of 30-6 co-captained by Jay Epstein and Ralph Kusinitz. Harvard came in second with 18 wins. Standouts this year: Trish Aldrich, 11-1, played all 12 matches! Jay Epstein went 10-1, Jothie Karthigesan went 6-4. Jim Hunt 6-0, Mary Coolidge 4-0, Chip Robie 4-0 and Robert Dewees 4-0, all impressed with undefeated records. A total of 67 players played at least one match. Thanks to all of the captains who helped organize each week.
