Howe Cup 2015 in Boston

Calling on Boston women to dominate the Howe Cup this fall!

FINAL HC Boston 2015 RGB

The Howe Cup national championship is the United States’ largest squash event for women. The singles tournament pits teams of five players from a city or region against other teams from across the country and Canada in A, B, C, and D draws. The doubles portion has A and B draws and will be held alongside a professional women’s doubles event.

This year, the Howe Cup returns to Boston, and our goal is to host a truly memorable weekend while also showcasing this city’s vibrant women’s squash community. Whether playing singles or doubles, you can look forward to a rockin’ Saturday night party at the New England Aquarium, a Friday night social, a great player gift bag, and the opportunity to meet 200 women players from around North America. Plus, of course, there will be loads of squash.

Date:         November 6-8, 2015

Singles:    Murr Center, Harvard University

Doubles:   University Club

Entry Fee: $140 (regular fee: $165–MA Squash is subsidizing approximately $25 for every Boston entrant.)

We aim to field at least two teams in each singles division, as well as attract lots of doubles players. (Due to logistics, you can play only singles or doubles.)

Challenge matches will be used to determine rosters and/or their order. There will be team practices to foster camaraderie. And while every effort will be made to place you in the division that you desire, this is first and foremost a team event, so final determination of the rosters will be made by the team captains and Boston organizer.

Email MassHoweCup@gmail.com, and your name will be forwarded to the appropriate captain or your questions will be answered.

Even if you’ve never played in a tournament, THIS is the one event you shouldn’t miss being a part of, especially since it’s in our hometown this year.

Let’s show the country how strong our squash community is.
